About Designer vs. Developer
This is a story of two people. One designer. One developer.
Technically speaking there’s a third, but does anyone really like a producer?
Meet Oskar and Jimmie (designer and developer respectively). Joining forces they’ve brought to life the beast that is Designer vs. Developer. Just like Microsoft Expression, this project has brought them closer. One small step in bridging the intellectual and social divide between the two tribes.
And as for that producer person... well, stay tuned for Producer vs. Account Director. Coming soon.
What do you do for work?
I am a graphic designer. If you wonder what that means, I do too. Lets just say that graphic design covers a lot of different things and areas, ok?
Where are you from?
I come from Stockholm, Sweden.
Where do you live now?
Live and work in Sydney, Australia now.
What are your hobbies?
Pretty much every single thing that you find these days has some sort of design to it. That means that somebody (a designer, a developer, a producer etc.) has actually thought of the best possible way to apply the design, or have they? That fascinates me a lot, that design is everywhere and it affects us all the time wether we like it or not. Apart from that, I enjoy riding the waves that mother ocean keeps on generating. We’re talking about real surfing on real waves... not the web.
What’s your favourite thing about Microsoft Expression?
How it handles both vector and pixel graphics in the same window.
What do you think of the producer?
We get along most of the time. Sometimes he needs to understand the designer’s point of view more though. We don’t produce fast food for a general market. We make chocolate croissants to go with the coffee...

Senior System Developer, Microsoft .Net and Microsft SQL Server based applications

What do you think of the producer?
No comment... that guy is just pushing us to hard.
